Set building and band call...
Just 3 days to go
until curtain up on The Pajama Game!
Today
it was all hands on deck for the get-in. Lead by Mac, our
burly team of men got to work constructing the set. Ed
and Claire got on with the lighting, while in a back room,
our trusty Musical Director, Neil Streeter conducted his
merry band through the rather interesting PG score. The cast
particularly enjoyed the run-through of Once a Year Day,
and even practiced the grand chain - whilst sat down! Good
fun had by all, just the tech and the dress rehearsal to
go!

Radio Interview... continued!
Our current leading lady, Louise Ellison took part in a live radio interview
this week to promote 'Thoroughly Modern Millie'. Baz Reilly of the Drivetime show on Castledown FM, chatted
with Louise about the society and auditioning for the part of Millie. She said "There is a real buz about audition
day, even those who have been members for 10 years of more still get nervous, so we are all in the same
boat, it's really exciting, the adrenalin gets going, and you do your bit, then it's the anxious wait for the
phone call to say if you have got the part!". Louise encouraged people who are thinking about joining to come
along and sit in on one of our rehearsal nights, and explained that we are always on the look out for new members (especially men!).
For those of you who were not able to tune in on the wireless to listen, you
can 'stream' Castldown Radio on the web by logging on to their website and clicking 'Listen Live'. Please note
that you may need to download the Real Player software.

AMOS
in the Andover Advertiser....
The Marketing Team were very excxited this week as we had an article
in the Andover Advertiser. The article, which covers 1/2 a page,
highlights the fact that Thoroughly Modern Millie is our 50th show,
and gives
quotes from both Louise and James about their involvement. Hopefully
this will be useful publicity, and combined with our other marketing
efforts, will boost ticket sales!
Thanks
to Joe Faretra for taking the time to come along
to our rehearsals.
