AMOS are please to announce that as a result of our collection at The Lights Theatre during our production of Scrooge Naomi House Children's Hospice,we have raised a total of £376.66. We handed in our collection buckets just before Christmas and have just received notification from Deborah Speirs, Naomi House Commnity Fundraising Co-ordinator of the final amount. We are really thrilled that we have been able to make such a sizeable donation. We will be visiting Naomi House in the next month or so to present them with a cheque. For more information about the work of the hospice please visit their website: www.naomihouse.org.uk A small group of us donned our Scrooge costumes and spent 2 hours Carol singing in Andover's Chantry Centre on Saturday. Raising money for Naomi House we sang a variety of festive favourites such as White Christmas, Jingle Bells, Bethlehem and Hark the Herald Angels Sing! Passing shoppers seemed to enjoy of performance and gave very generously - we won't be counting up the collection until after Scrooge but the buckets were very heavy! Fingers crossed the people of Andover have been generous! |
